Privacy Policy

WellCheck helps private well owners log and understand their water test results. It is designed to collect nothing: no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking.

What the app stores

• Water test results, dates, lab names, and notes you enter are stored locally on your device in the app's private database.
• Your preferences (reminder schedule, onboarding state) are stored locally.
• If you use report scanning, photos are processed entirely on your device with Apple's Vision framework and are never uploaded anywhere. The app does not retain the photo.

Deleting the app deletes all of this data.

What the app does not do

No personal information is collected, transmitted, or sold. No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs are included. The app itself makes no network requests.

Purchases

The optional Pro unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchase data.

Notifications

Test reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They do not involve any server.

External links

The app contains links to third-party websites (for example, mail-in test kit vendors). Their privacy practices are their own; this policy covers only the app. Some links may be affiliate links, meaning the developer may earn a commission on purchases. This does not involve sharing any of your data.

Health information disclaimer

The app provides educational reference information about drinking water standards. It is not medical or public-health advice. Always confirm results and treatment decisions with your local health department or a certified laboratory.

Children

WellCheck is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data handling ever changes, this page and the date above will be updated with the release that changes it.
