Privacy Policy

The short version: ReedFit collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no server of ours. Everything you record — reeds, chanters, setups, tests, and photos — is stored only on your device.
Data we collect
None. ReedFit has no backend and makes no network requests to us. We never see your data, and neither does anyone else unless you export it and share it yourself.
Data stored on your device
- Reeds and chanters, including nicknames, makers, models, notes, and any photo you add
- Setup snapshots and their seating, bridle, and modification notes
- Quick tests: your four ratings plus any humidity, temperature, altitude, warm-up, or note you choose to record
- Your unit preferences and whether you have purchased ReedFit Unlimited
This data lives in the app's private storage on your iPhone and is included in your normal device backups (iCloud or computer backups you control).
ReedFit does not collect a name, email address, phone number, advertising identifier, or device identifier.
Photos
The photo picker runs in a system-provided process; ReedFit receives only the individual images you explicitly select for a reed or chanter. It does not read your photo library.
What ReedFit never does
- No account and no sign-in
- No analytics, crash reporting, telemetry, or tracking of any kind
- No advertising, and no data sold or shared with third parties
- No access to location, microphone, contacts, calendars, or health data
Files you export
Backup and CSV export write files that you choose where to put. Once you save or share an exported file, it is outside ReedFit and outside our control, and this policy no longer governs it. Treat an exported backup as you would any other personal file.
Restoring a backup replaces all data currently in ReedFit. The app shows you what a backup contains and asks you to confirm before anything is replaced.
Purchases
ReedFit Unlimited is a one-time purchase processed by Apple. Apple handles payment and tells ReedFit only whether the purchase is valid. We never see your payment details. The resulting entitlement is stored locally in the device Keychain so it survives being offline. Apple's own privacy policy governs the purchase itself.
Children
ReedFit is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes every record ReedFit stored on the device. Any backup or CSV file you exported elsewhere is unaffected and must be deleted by you.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
